Family Photographer Glasgow Shoots the Most Gorgeous Wee Family in Their Home

Baby Giovanna captured by family photographer Glasgow

If you mention “Alessios” to anyone from Kirkintilloch then, guaranteed, they will rave about the coffee and the baked goods. Because Alessio’s is a wee bit famous in our part of town. It’s a vibrant, popular cafe and I’m a regular there. They do the best coconut latte!

Alessio himself runs the place, along with his wife Marie. Speaking of Marie, her brownies, blondies and cakes are legendary. We get all our birthday cakes and cupcakes from Pipe and Dream. Yum! I can’t rave about her baking enough, just take a look at her instagram and you’ll be drooling!

So, Alessio and Marie have got a gorgeous wee family. Their toddler Luciano came along a few years ago and has recently been joined by baby Giovanna. They chose me as their family photographer in Glasgow and booked a family shoot to welcome little Giovanna to the world.

Relaxed family photography in Glasgow

I arrived at their home to meet a very happy, smiley Luciano who was keen to show me his skills on the slide and in the ball pool. He was loving the camera and loved having all the attention on himself for a wee while until Giovanna woke up.

We had such a fab time together. Luciano and his Dad played together in his room for a bit whilst Giovanna had a feed. Then it was time for some snuggles on mummy and daddy’s big bed. Luciano was in his element, cuddles with his baby sister and a chance to show off for my camera!

I made sure I captured all the beautiful wee details of Giovanna, her fingers and toes, a curled up hand and those adorable yawns. After spending a bit of time photographing her, Luciano decided it was time I focussed on him again! We headed off into the lounge for some more playtime and Luciano kept an eye out for birds in the garden. He loved pointing them out to me.

Glasgow based family photoshoots

Marie, Alessio, Luciano and Giovanna were such a joy to photograph. Luciano just dotes on his wee sister and I loved capturing his interactions with her.

In the run up to family shoots I often get asked what’s best for people to wear. From now on I’m just going to send people this blog and tell them to look at the amazing colour co-ordination of this family! I love how they all wore neutral colours, but in clothes that they were comfortable and relaxed in. The similar colour palette of their outfits really added to the aesthetic of the shoot without taking any attention away from the family themselves.

Ultimately, wear whatever you feel the most ‘you’ in but I’d always recommend avoiding huge logos or clashing colours. As always you can get in touch at any time and ask for my advice. I’m here to help!

If you’re thinking of booking your own family photoshoot in Glasgow, either at home or out and about, get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
