Maternity Photographer Glasgow Shoots an Intimate Pregnancy & Newborn Photo Session with Twins!
Maternity Photographer Glasgow - Rebecca and Lee - Maternity and newborn session
I loved spending time with Rebecca and Lee - capturing their little family as it grew from the two of them (plus bump!) to the arrival of their twins.
At home maternity session, Glasgow
We started with a really nice, intimate maternity session in their flat in the South Side of Glasgow. We combined a wee couple session with a maternity shoot. Normally I’d do bump shoots a little later in the pregnancy but as she was expecting twins we did the session at around 34 weeks. Just in case the babies decided to make an early appearance!
I kept things lovely and natural. There was so much beautiful light streaming in through the flat windows and I got Rebecca and Lee to cuddle up together on the sofa. They are so in love and it was adorable when Lee kept cuddling Rebecca’s bump.
We made the most of that gorgeous light and I took some photos of Rebecca and her bump. We did a few silhouette shots in front of the window before taking some more natural, relaxed photos in her underwear so we could fully show off her bump. We could even see whereabouts each baby was leaning and lying!
As we chatted away I made a guess that she would be having a boy and a girl, I even guessed which baby was lying on which side.
Well, just a few weeks later I got a message off Rebecca and Lee, the babies had arrived! They were indeed a boy and a girl. Wee Penelope and Elliott. I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to meet them. I was also pretty chuffed that my guess had been correct!
Twin newborn session in Glasgow
The twins were completely and utterly adorable. They snuggled up to their mummy and daddy and we did a very relaxed, very baby centred newborn session. We followed their lead, as I always do. If they needed a feed or to be changed then we stopped, waited and then carried on. To be honest though they both slept pretty much the entire time!
I took lots of detail shots, those tiny hands and wee toes. There were so many kisses off mummy and daddy and gorgeous hand holding photos. I loved those knitted socks too!
By the end of the session the twins were both nappy free and snuggled up to their parents. And of course that was the moment that Penelope decided to do the most enormous pee all over Lee! It was hilarious! That’s one to tell her about when she's older!
I love doing newborn sessions at home. They’re so relaxed and natural, the perfect way to show off your new family member and to remember all those moments from the hazy early days. Here are some of my favourites from Rebecca and Lee’s maternity and newborn session. Enjoy!
