Gorgeous newborn photoshoot Glasgow - Elsie

Just look at the love and connection between these three. It was a joy to witness and to capture the bliss of the newborn bubble for Maggie, John and baby Elsie at their newborn photoshoot in Glasgow.  

I had first met Maggie and John when I photographed their wedding back in 2021. One of my lockdown postponements, they’d originally been meant to get married the year before but the pandemic stopped that. The world shut down and a year later they tied the knot in Glasgow’s West End. What a day it was though, so much fun, so much colour and just full of sheer excitement and joy. And confetti and neon signs - more on that later! The West End was just opening back up again and it was amazing seeing people out on the streets, enjoying a drink in the pubs and cheering the newly weds!

I visited them at their home in Glasgow for Elsie’s wee shoot. She is absolutely adorable, so cute and content to snuggle up to Maggie and John for the shoot. 

My newborn photography sessions are so laidback and relaxed. They take place at home, but don’t worry, I’m not expecting a show home! All I need is some lovely window light and somewhere for you to cuddle up together. The session is all about your new arrival and the love between you all. 

Maggie and John wanted some photos of Elsie’s nursery, and it was as bright and colourful as I expected from these two. I love her rainbow rug and the bright prints on the wall. We also came up with the idea of incorporating their wedding sign into the photos too. Neon signs played a big part in their wedding, and we decided to recreate one of their wedding photos, but with Elsie! It was a perfect full circle moment and I have to admit I did feel a little emotional as I took that photo! I love getting to see my couples again and I absolutely adore seeing their family grow and capturing those memories for them.
